Federal Cabinet gives green signal for 5G spectrum auction

 ISLAMABAD (Daily Pakistan Online) Spectrum Auction Advisory Committee has been established under the supervision of Minister of Finance.

According to the details, the committee will have the Minister of IT, Telecommunication and Science and Technology and the Minister of Industry and Production as members. It will be ensured, the cabinet has also approved telecom infrastructure sharing, infrastructure sharing is business friendly for telecom companies with regard to 5G spectrum auction, infrastructure sharing will allow telecom companies to install equipment on each other's towers and use infrastructure sharing. The operational and maintenance costs of telecom companies will be significantly reduced, saving billions of rupees in the installation of new towers, the money can be used for upgrading.
